The Hunger Games didn't out do the Saga!

So as many of you know, the Hunger Games premiered here in the U.S last night at midnight! According to EW, theatres everywhere were packed, and some people were even estimating it to be the biggest midnight opening ever. Well think again, even though the Hunger Games was able to make a whopping $19.7 million dollars, a record breaking sale for being " the highest midnight total ever for a non-sequel, and the seventh highest midnight total ever (behind three Harry Potters and three Twilights). After only a few hours, it’s clear that the film is already a smash, and it’s almost certainly headed for a debut well above the $100 million mark.", it was still not able to over pass Twilight's or Harry Potter's staggering sales! 

"the overnight figure can’t compare to the $43.5 million that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 conjured up at midnight shows last year, or the $30.3 million that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 found at midnight on its way to $138.1 million"

I watched the movie last night at midnight, and to be completely honest. I loved it. No comparison what so ever with my favorite Saga. Totally different story's, characters, etc. Which is why I can't understand the absurd feuds people are anxious to start. But as an die-hard Twihard myself, I would have to say I'm glad we're still able to claim some of the top spots to the list above ;)

You said in an earlier interview that you would never want be as famous as Kristen Stewart.
JL: Yeah, no I didn't mean it that way. I've read that and I was aah out of context. No I was just talking about how I felt so sorry for her because those kids they do not have any idea that its going to be as big as it was then all of a sudden it came out and I think I meant I wouldn't want it the way that it happened to her, because that just doesn't make sense, because I'm obviously in the same kind of situation. I felt bad because I've been prepared for it ever since I said yes to the movie almost a year ago. I have almost this whole year to prepare myself for my whole life changing and they, when these movies came out and it just exploded, like they had no idea. So I think what I meant about that is I dont want to be as famous the way that she had it, just by complete surprise."

Jennifer and Josh were recently asked a series of Yes or No questions by Josh Horowitz of MTV, and she admitted that Katniss probably wouldn't be able to beat one of the vampires from Twilight in a battle unless she had a silver bow and arrow (of course, that would really only work on Taylor Lautner's werewolf character, if the silver bullet legends are to be believed).

But Jennifer Lawrence emphatically said "Yes" when Josh Hutcherson was asked if he's dreamier than Robert Pattinson, even though The Hunger Games hottie doesn't agree that he's more gorgeous than the brooding Brit because he doesn't have a sexy accent. Luckily for Josh, Jennifer thinks it's sexy that he sounds like a hick sometimes.

They are now selling a cute box of chocolates (8), with the Breaking Dawn cover as a lid in celebration of the DVD release on March 12th. This is in the U.K. I'm not sure if they ship internationally, but if they do it's rather expensive. They ship to the U.S but the total came out to $41! I guess expensive for me, maybe not others.
