Colton Haynes, Jackson from Teen Wolf, say's Rob is "one of the nicest guys" in new interview!

"Robert Pattinson was way better than me so that's why he got [the Twilight role. He's a class act, one of the nicest guys. He's taken all the fame and used it in a good way instead of just become a socialite."

New Rob Interview, talks Mission:Blacklist, Iraq, and Eric Maddox!

Transcript
Robert Pattinson: I read the script. I thought the script…I didn’t even realize that the script was a real story and then they told me it was a true story. I met Eric Maddox who it’s based on. He’s one of the most fascinating people I have ever met and the story’s amazing. We’re looking into Iraq, I mean he was there, I mean it’s quite difficult obviously to go there, but I think it would be a good thing to do to go and start… you know.

More from Rob's Interview with USA Today

Sure there have been car movies in the past. But there has never been a movie that has taken place almost entirely inside of a car. Until now.

Enter Cosmopolis, David Cronenberg's surreal look at the world of finance -- set in the back of a stretch white limousine winding it's way through the crowded streets of New York City.

Robert Pattinson, who spends nearly every scene of the movie in the plush back seat, says even he was surprised by how much took place in the back in the limited environment.

"When I saw the script, about 70% of it was in the limo," Pattinson tells USA TODAY. "But as we were shooting, (Cronenberg) kept adding even more scenes. I started feeling like it was (the German U-boat classic) Das Boat, like we were stuck in this weird submarine movie."

Even Pattinson's communication with Cronenberg was through the limousine's intercom from inside this sealed world. Meanwhile, the back of the limo serves as the stage for some crazy stuff, street riots and the like. In one scene Pattinson's banker character actually seduces the lovely French actress Juliet Binoche. Naturally the sex scene takes place in the tight back seat, which led to some comical moments for Pattinson.

"There's not enough space to really do it," he says. "So she's banging her head on the ceiling. It ended up being kind of funny. But its supposed to be kind of erotic."

But the most bizarre scene, and no doubt another movie first, is another seduction moment.

"There's a scene where I am having to seduce (a woman) while being completely naked having a prostate exam in the back of the limousine," laughs Pattinson. "They don't really see it that very often in movies."

Rob’s Interview with En Mode Gossip from the Cosmopolis Screening in Paris

LOVED the way he answered Oh Rob he's so smart <3

Rob is here and we have a very specific question to ask him.
Are you and Kristen Stewart dating? Is it official?
Rob: I only answer questions about movies ’cause I’m not an idiot.

The vampire is stubborn, or should I say the businessman with sharp teeth since it’s the role he plays in Cronenberg’s new movie. A role that’s compleltely different from the one in Twilight.
Rob: It’s a different audience, a different everything. But, I mean, I like to try to, in every movie between Twilight to try to change everything I can and this one seems to be connected in some way. Cool. Thanks a lot.

New Rob AMAZING Interview with ShotList

Sick of being pretty

Robert Pattinson has swept away his teen idol persona in one fell swoop, thanks toCosmopolis. ShortList’s Jonathan Crocker talks off-piste career choices with a reluctant superstar
Five minutes after meeting her, Robert Pattinson found himself having sex with French actress Juliette Binoche in the back of a limo. “She literally turned up and was like, ‘Let’s do it,’” he grins.
“It was just hilarious. There wasn’t enough room in the limo so she was banging her head on the ceiling.” So this is what’s it’s like to be Robert Pattinson. “It’s just boring,” he counters, almost apologetically.
What happens when you’re mega-rich, mega-handsome and mega-bored? You flip out. You get in a limousine and go on a ride that could change your life forever. Bouncy, backseat sex with an Oscar-winning actress. Boozy, late-night clubbing. Rabid crowds trying to get their hands on you. You beat up a guy in the street. You kill a man...
Hold on a minute. This isn’t Robert Pattinson’s real life. Well, it isn’t and it is. His startling role in David Cronenberg’s new arthouse psychothriller Cosmopolis – dark, sexy, violent, cerebral and possibly the weirdest film of the year – is exactly the one he’s been waiting for. A film impossible to understand, yet makes perfect sense.
In the most daring performance of his career, Pattinson plays a 28-year-old multibillionaire travelling across Manhattan in a stretch limo to get a haircut. By the end of the film, he’ll have destroyed everything he possesses to create an exciting, dangerous future.
“I want more,” Pattinson tells a bare-breasted hooker who is aiming a high-voltage Taser at his naked chest. “Show me something I haven’t seen before.” Well, here it is: Pattinson escaping from the Twilight zone.

France is talking about Rob and Kristen having their projects competing in Cannes

Basically  first they talk about Cosmopolis by David Cronenberg and Kristen Stewart being in On the Road

A couple's Event
Kristen says
It would have been strange if people didn't comment on that. The fact that we both have a movie here now that the Twilight movies are done shooting. But thankfully for us, our movies completely outry anything like that, that we don't feel concerned. Anyone that think this ... this is so not concerning us, we don't care.

Hollywood's "young royalty" in Cannes | New Quotes from Rob

But at the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival, a number of young Hollywood stars are attempting to do just that. By striking out on their own, they hope to move their careers beyond mega franchises and toward more mature roles in bolder films.
Robert Pattinson ("Twilight"), Kristen Stewart (also "Twilight"), Shia LaBeouf ("Transformers," ''Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull") and Zac Efron ("High SchoolMusical") all have films in competition at the French Riviera festival.
In David Cronenberg's Don DeLillo adaptation "Cosmopolis," which is to premiere at Cannes on Friday, Pattinson stars as a Manhattan billionaire on a crosstown odyssey.

"It's changed the way I see myself," Pattinson said in an interview ahead of his festival arrival.

"I'm kind of getting older," the 26-year-old actor says. "People aren't thinking of me as a kid anymore, so I've got to stop behaving like one."

With the next "Twilight" installment, part two of "Breaking Dawn," due out this November, Pattinson has also lined up parts in David Michod's "The Rover" (a role he says he fought harder for than any in years) and the military thriller "Mission: Black List." Like "Cosmopolis," they're films without the surrounding hoopla of blockbusters.

"When you do a big franchise movie, there's a ton of pressure on you that's really nothing to do with the job at all," says Pattinson. "You have to adapt to an entirely different world, rather than just try to get better at acting and do better within your movies. As soon as you become famous, your movies and your life become one and the same in the eyes of the public in a lot of ways."

Certainly, most actors would eagerly jump at the chance to star in well-paying, hugely promoted movies. But iconic roles begun as teenagers can choke promising acting careers. Stewart, Pattinson's 22-year-old "Twilight" co-star, is also expanding into new territory at Cannes with Walter Salles' anticipated adaptation of Jack Kerouac's "On the Road." It was to premiere Wednesday.

(...)

"There's no point in being scared of just trying," says Pattinson. "The worst that can happen is just failure, right?"

SCANS of Rob is on the cover of Les InRockuptibles TRANSLATED

LiR: What kind of childhood did you have?
RP: Pretty boring to be honest. I wanted to be a musician. I did rehearsals, and tiny concerts. That's about it. Later on, I joined a drama club, lots of pretty girls hung there *laughs*. I wanted to stay backstage only, it didn't interest me to play. But one day, I just went for it ...
