New Rob Interview w/ET Canada, say's he's excited on Winning Best Kiss!
After filming Cosmopolis right here in Toronto, RPatz has brought his entire crew back to T Dot for the Canadian premiere tonight! Well, everyone except his girlfriend Kristen Stewart that is (darn!)
But he did tell ET Canada‘s Roz Weston today he was excited about winning MTV’s Best Kiss Award, which Kristen picked up for both of them last night in LA.
“It’s nice that it’s been quite a few times,” he says of the trophy. “I would be disappointed if it wasn’t, then I would know it’s all rigged.”
Cosmopolis is of course a far cry from Twilight – and the actor wasn’t convinced at first… but thankfully everyone else around him was: “It took about 40 people to tell me I am being an idiot for not doing it… I got so many people to read the script.”
And Twihards, here is an interesting fact: Rob goes on the fan sites to see what you think of his movies, so be kind!
“I think Reese Witherspoon said when you are feeling good about yourself you don’t look at it, when you feel bad you look at it to make yourself feel worse,” Rob reveals.

Outside, since early morning, dozens of young fans of the “vampire” from the ‘Twilight’ saga, lined up around the barriers surrounding the red carpet – where there will be a premiere, starting at 8PM – waiting to see their idol. They didn’t know that at that very early on (11:30AM), he was already inside the building.
“We brought a t-shirt to give to him. I don’t know if I will be able to say something when see him,” said the two fans, Patricia and Sandra, creators of the site ‘Twilight ao Amanhecer’. The t-shirt could not be more clear about the feelings towards the actor: ‘Keep Calm and don’t forget to be awesome’.
Pattinson is calm, in the press room when he tells the journalists that he’s aware that “this role is very different from his character in Twilight. ”It was a gift,”admits the actor who knows he is idolized by millions of fans. ”I care about what everyone thinks. I know that many young girls will see the movie and I hope everyone enjoys it.”
David Cronenberg liked to film. The film. And the actor. “It was all fun and Robert Pattinson is a great actor”, he said.
Outside, Patricia, Sandra and all their friends that came from various parts of the country, as well as others, that came from Spain, would like to be heard. “If I can, I’ll give him a hug,” said one of the girls. New Interview with Rob! Talks Mission:Blacklist, filming in Iraq, and sex scenes in Cosmopolis!
Firstly, to be here with this movie, it's amazing. For a young actor like me, for people who really like cinema, it's the ultimate festival. One of the only ones that considers cinema like an art form. Here it's not about being a celebrity and all that comes with it. To go back on the subject of my career, it's probably teh start of something. Because shooting Cosmopolis gave me the confidence I needed to invest myself in projects that really interest me.
You started in England but you became famous because of Hollywood. Do you think young american actors see Cannes like you do?
Maybe ... until the day their movie gets selected *laughs*. In the US, Cannes isn't given a lot of media coverage, we talk about it more in a professional environment. Whereas in London, the festival is on the first page of the newspapers for two weeks. The thing that is weird here is all these people that clap for you at the end of the screening. I went to the one for On the Road (note: wednesday night) and it hit me. In the USA, people leave as soon as the credits roll. I asked david what would happen if we were booed with Cosmopolis. Do we have to stay up for 20 minutes anyway? *laughs*

Rob was on Le Grand Journal a couple of hours ago. Promoting his new movie Cosmopolis with his beautiful co-star Sarah Godon. Their movie will premiere tomorrow at the 65th Cannes Film Festival.
